Wolff: Trump Is 'Proving the Point of the Book'
Source: The Daily Beast
In his first interview about his bombshell exposé about the White House, journalist Michael Wolff stood by his reporting and said President Trumps behavior in the wake of three explosive excerpts is proving the point of the book. Wolff wrote that Trump is increasingly repeating stories, cannot recognize old friends, and is viewed by his closest allies as incapable of functioning in his job. Trump and his team responded by tearing down former top strategist Steve Bannon and sending a cease-and-desist letter to Wolff and his publisher. Not only is he helping me sell books, but hes proving the point of the book, Wolff said on NBCs Today on Friday. This man does not read. Does not listen. Hes like a pinball, just shooting off the sides. He added, They all say he is like a child.

(32,633 posts)Michael Wolff may not be the greatest writer or reporter of all time, but he did have extraordinary access for a solid year. He made good use of his time in the White House by interviewing everyone and connecting all the dots. There was so much back-stabbing and face-saving going on that the WH employees all had reasons to snitch on each other (and on Cheeto.) If Wolff couldn't provide proof for his stories then no publisher would have touched this book. It would have never been printed unless corporate lawyers all OK'ed it. Publishers are being extremely careful now, you can be sure.
Just sayin'
