Trump calls himself "a very stable genius," slams Michael Wolff

Source: CBS News

In a series of tweets early Saturday, President Donald Trump slammed author Michael Wolff and described himself as "a very stable genius." He also tweeted about "Russian collusion," the "Fake News Mainstream Media" and the unemployment rate for African-Americans, among other topics.

"Michael Wolff is a total loser who made up stories in order to sell this really boring and untruthful book," Mr. Trump tweeted, seemingly referring to "Fire and Fury," Wolff's bombshell expose on the Trump administration. "He used Sloppy Steve Bannon, who cried when he got fired and begged for his job. Now Sloppy Steve has been dumped like a dog by almost everyone. Too bad!"

(snip)

He later tweeted: "Throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart. Crooked Hillary Clinton also played these cards very hard and, as everyone knows, went down in flames. I went from VERY successful businessman, to top T.V. Star ... to President of the United States (on my first try). I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius....and a very stable genius at that!"

Six bankruptcies is a pretty damning track record for someone who claims to know how to run a business. His entire history has been one of failures and cheating people out of what their owed.

He overstates everything and as a result, just makes himself look more ridiculous. I suppose if you want to know who Donald Trump really is, you'd just go with the polar opposite of everything he says.

Bush sr was outed by Rather and the war against truth was ramped up then

also

Journalists are educated, mature, worldly etc, therefore by definition they tend to lean liberal. Liberal means open minded, smart, etc.

So journalists believe they have to put 3 cons on for one dem, for example, and that they cant apply the same standards to both, etc.

It is OUR fault, the country, we demand full attention when reciting some patriotic loyalty oath but we dont demand following the law or constitution, we demand respect for BOTH sides even when one side are outright criminals.

It is also too late to fix this.

.... to the point that there is no fixing them.

"It is also too late to fix this." Sad but true for millions of Americans.

We should spend one second of time or one dime trying to reach these people.

Did you know that Barack Obama was going to bring Hamas fighters into
America w/the help of the UN so he could take everybody's guns and
get a third term? I was told that gem by somebody I had to work around
so all I could say was, "Oh, I didn't know that."

Trump is counting on his idiot base to keep him in power.

if he has to defend himself with this ludicrous tweet!

What's really great is the the book has Trump now fighting on many more fronts. Inter-family, his WH staff, the Cabinet members, Bannon and Wolff, the media, we Democrats, GOP'ers who fight his policies and more!

God, I love the fact that his fat head is spinning harder than the demon-gal from the Exorcist!

Nobody has worked as hard and as long as hard, and been even partially successful, is a total moron.

I think he's more of a narcissistic, self absorbed asshole.

I'm also concerned that he's a marketing genius, and is going to mellow in 2018 and 2019. Perhaps he'll even have a significant program to attract African Americans voters. Like legalizing marijuana, decriminalizing other drugs, and prison reform. So yeah, some will not fall for it, but unless we have a great candidate and a great message, he very well could win re-election.

On most other fronts he's horrible. He certainly doesn't know how to run a business (6 bankruptcies), and has only been buoyed by Russian loans. At this point I don't see how he could possibly recover his image enough to win another election, but your point is well taken that we need to go after the next elections like our lives depend on them.
