Wolff: Book sold a million copies in 4 days

Source: The Hill

Author Michael Wolff said in an interview published Wednesday that his high-profile new book on the Trump White House sold a million copies in four days.

“I’m going around saying, ‘It’s just a book,’ but it has become something so much larger,” Wolff told The New Yorker in an article published on Wednesday.

(I have a friend who's won a Pulitzer)

While Wolff's book is earth-shaking, he has a reputation for being a little fast and loose with his sourcing, and very little of it is cited.

what he did was extraordinary.Yes, there are typos and some errors because he was in a rush but if trump’s condition will be worsening to the point the he will have to resign, this book would had been the precursor.

the book has already led to downfall of bannon to the point that mercers cut the funding. I am not saying it’s a literary y masterpiece, I am saying that the book is having more impact than anything else we have seen so far.

Furthermore, look at Wolff’s interviews. The guy is totally competent and have known trump since the 90s. He has recordings for many of the conversations but he doesnt want to release them out of respect for his sources. He continues to have a source in WH and there may be follow ups to this. This book is really targeted at trump himself and people close to him who know all that but need intervention and public pressure. Trumps condition (pre-dementia) has gotten worse over the last year. He repeats things every 10 minutes with exact same facial expressions.

If the lawsuit proceeds, wolff is prepared to testify and his sources will have to testify under oath. That is why he is not at all concerned about any lawsuits from trump because nothing will ever come of it.

her book, but publisher aren't willing to pay the $10-12 million she is demanding. (Hillary's first book after retiring from State got $14 million.)

not being more flexible on the dollar amount. If you want to sell a tell-all book, you have to get it out there early and beat the crowd. No one is going to want to read ten or fifteen books that basically say the same thing.

Of course, I wouldn't trust a word she says anyway.

The problem with making lots and lots of enemies is they don't just go away. I've never seen anyone make as many enemies as Donald Trump.

The lengthy excerpt release in NY Mag (with really good artwork) teased enough and drew people in. The nonstop press coverage was almost "Trump-seque". His brand is so strong! He just doesn't see a dime of it.
