Sam's Club stores close around the country

Source: KSWO.Com ABC 7 News

(RNN) – Walmart shuttered Sam’s Club locations throughout the country Thursday.

There are reports of stores closing in more than 10 states, including Maryland, Alaska, Ohio, New York, Connecticut, Louisiana, Texas, Indiana, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.

The company tweeted that the company reviewed their portfolio and closing clubs, which is what they call stores, to "better align our locations with our strategy. Closing clubs is never easy and we're committed to working with impacted members and associates through this transition."

I fucking hate corporations.
The trickle down hasn't even started, and it already appears we are setting up for another recession.

first they gave raises etc. to reflect new lower tax rates and then turned around and closed a lot of stuff...hypocrites...this is Walmart for you...when you shop in there for a supposed item on sale, what they don't tell you is that they mark up everything around that item on sale in the store (told to me by a former Walmart employee). This is why I don't shop there (and also since four of major owners are Walmart brats and each own $20 billion of Walmart stock), they don't need my money and there are lots of deserving businesses that I would rather spend my money in.

How did I miss them closing so many stores two years ago? Hmmm... I must be slipping. Usually I keep up with evil empire doings.

It is close to one of the Sam's Clubs. There are two Sam's in my city, I could see one of them closing, but my state is not listed in the article.
