Hawaii's Emergency Management Agency administrator on Saturday took the blame for a false alert warning about an incoming ballistic missile that sent residents scrambling.
"It's my responsibility, so this would be my fault," Administrator Vern Miyagi said at a press conference with Hawaii Gov. David Ige (D). "We'll take action to prevent this from ever happening again," Miyagi said.
The agency responded quickly on social media to the false emergency alert Saturday, tweeting that there was "No missile threat to Hawaii." A second alert correcting the first, however, did not come for 38 minutes.
The emergency official said his agency would work to make sure that, in the future, more than one person is in charge of making the decision to send out the alert.

(51,569 posts)At least he is professional enough to do this. If/when the Fucking Moron did anything even remotely similar he would pass the buck. He would blame Obama, Hillary, the Dems, minorities, women, other countries, Malaria, the dog...if he had one, etc. as he normally does.

(263 posts)It's nice to have someone owning up for a change. He just basically said "my bad" and provided a great (obvious) decision to put an extra person in charge of the alert. The orange baffoon would never take responsibility for himself

(1,332 posts)Now THAT's a boss. He takes responsibility, the buck stops there. If it was Trump he would be looking around for someone to blame. I'm waiting for him to blame 1.) Obama and 2.) Hillary. Because that's what he does.
