She was incredibly strong in revealing both her gentle sensitivity AND her rage, each in it's perfect place. I am so sad that she is gone from us so soon.

My music collection is quite modest, but the Cranberries is a big part of it. Glad I was able to see them perform in'94 at the peak of their popularity in the U.S.

The strobe lights during the bass sticatto (sp?) was a visual affect from that show that always remains with me.

Yes, most likely the same tour. Promoting the "No Need To Argue" IIRC.

I saw them at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT back in November of 1993 - wonderful performance at a famous venue. (No, I don't have that good a memory, i googled it)

Her voice was outstanding and incredibly strong, with no digital enhancements thank god (I’m a classical singer, and there’s nothing I hate more that today’s pop “singers” who can’t sing with any semblance of technique, don’t seem to hear that they are either constantly flat or sharp, and have their voices severely molded by digital effects, which makes many of them sound the same)

The band was truly awesome live, and she owned the stage with her voice and movements (she would do a cool sort of march when the songs built to their full emotional effect). This is very sad news. I know she suffered from very severe depression for many years (I believe “Zombie” was in part inspired by this), and I hope she was getting help and doing okay in her life and with the many people who loved her.

Play a few of their tunes on guitar, listened over and over to get her delightful subtle vocal inflections... “felt” her spirit in there.

Ran across this great little tiny desk concert a few months back, so wonderful...
