Hundreds of supporters of President Trump gathered at his Mar-a-Lago estate Thursday night to celebrate his first year in office.

BuzzFeed News attended the “Red, White, and Blue Celebration” at Trump’s Florida property, an event hosted by the leaders of the “Trumpettes,” a group of wealthy socialites that drummed up support for Trump from female voters during the 2016 election.

Among the speakers at the event was Fox News host Jeanine Pirro, a major supporter and surrogate for Trump, BuzzFeed reported.

"Welcome to Mar-a-Lago, a magnificent place. It sure ain't no shithole,” Pirro said, referring to Trump’s comments on African countries.

Mar-a-Lago has about as much real class as Fox News has real news. Mar-a-Lago is a guilded monstrosity like every Trump property. A guilded sideshow cloaked as some ideal of a rich man’s paradise.
