Bernie Sanders calls Trump a 'pathological liar'

BERNIE SANDERS CALLS TRUMP A ‘PATHOLOGICAL LIAR’ AND SLAMS HIS FIRST YEAR IN OFFICE

BY MARIA PEREZ ON 1/19/18 AT 12:00 PM

Senator Bernie Sanders continued his harsh criticism of President Donald Trump on Friday and called him a pathological liar.

During an interview with MSNBC on Friday, Sanders was asked to weigh in on Trump’s first year in office just hours before the government shutdown deadline. The Vermont senator joked and said the year felt more like “16 years,” but also strongly criticized him for not following through on his campaign promises.

“We have a president… who is a pathological liar,” Sanders said. “[He] ran on a populist campaign. He said, ‘Healthcare for everybody,’ he’s going to stand up to Wall Street, he’s going to stand up to the drug companies—he lied.” Sanders continued to slam Trump in the interview and said it was an “embarrassment” to have him as president.

“I think it is an international embarrassment, we have a president who has driven the respect that this great country has all over the world down lower than it has ever been,” he said.

It just brings out the primary fighters who must find some angle to twist into an insult against him.

Is the term "pathological liar" only allowed to be used once on the Liar in Chief? Even if he continues to lie every day?

Is it not beneficial to our side to hear this term to describe him as much as possible?

And it was Newsweek that highlighted the statement as the central point. It's not as if Sanders said, "hey, I just thought of something...Trump is a pathological liar! How brilliant I am!" Jeez I wish they'd give it a rest.

Sanders gets interviewed and quoted a lot because the MSM knows people will watch. Other than Franken, we haven't had another
anti Trump voice whom the MSM actually seeks out bkz of popularity/ ratings. And Sanders does an excellent job of staying on Trump's case, messaging in succinct, effective soundbites. Sanders is a valuable resource against the vile Republicans and Trump. .

Trump IS a pathological liar. That cannot be repeated or broadcast enough.

I supported Bernie in my CT primary and then enthusiastically supported HRC.

This had more to do with progressives's trying to get a voice in our Dem campaign to move left. Nothing wrong with that at all.

So please. Let's end this war. It all turned out badly for us (for a number of reasons) but we are not at fault for wanting to help the Dem party reclaim its very soul.
