Chao rebuffs Trump critics in Davos: Those who don't want to listen to him can leave
Source: Politico
Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao had a clear message Wednesday for critics of President Donald Trump during his trip to the World Economic Forum in Switzerland: If you don't want to hear from him, you can leave.
Speaking at a panel alongside other U.S. government officials during the World Economic Forum in Davos, the secretary praised the president for engaging with global leaders on economic policy by becoming the first sitting president in nearly two decades to attend the annual gathering of the world's wealthy elite.
Davos should feel very flattered that he has chosen this as a forum, Chao said during a session moderated by the Wall Street Journal. Those who dont want to listen to him can leave.
Pressed on whether the gathering known to attract the so-called globalists derided by some factions of the Republican Party aligned with the presidents populist economic rhetoric, Chao defended the summit as a unique opportunity for world leaders to gather and exchange ideas.

(41 posts)that this comes from pond scum that would marry Mitch McConell for all the wrong reasons. I mean, no one could marry the turtle for all the right reasons would they? Chao and Tturtle are the most disgusting couple this side of Trumpler and Melanoma.
In the end, it's just one more nail in their coffin. Out of touch, out of step and running out of time. The noose is tightening, make no fucking mistake about it.

Trump Cabinet secretary: If the world doesnt like Trump at Davos, They can leave
By Tommy Christopher | January 24, 2018
This is what passes for American "leadership" now.
Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao at the Davos World Economic Forum
LSN
Donald Trump heads to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Wednesday, but one of his Cabinet secretaries is already there and shes already causing an embarrassment for the United States.
Sadly, global humiliation is already becoming a tradition for the Trump teams travels abroad.
Trumps trip to Davos has left him vulnerable to criticism from his anti-globalist base, but the White House pitched his appearance as a chance to sell his accomplishments and remind the world that we are open for business, that were a competitive country.
But during a Davos forum on Wednesday, Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao delivered a message that sounded a lot more like alienation than an invitation.
Members of the panel were asked if the U.S. is retreating from its role as a global leader and becoming just another country.
When it was Chaos turn to answer, she suggested it would be best to let Trump answer that. But she offered her own arrogant take on the issue.
Davos should be very flattered that he has chosen this as a forum, and so those that dont want to listen to him, you can they can leave! Chao stated.
When we talk about Americas role around the globe, its not as if America is going to withdraw, she continued, going on to say that America has been the chump for its role in ensuring global peace and security........................

They don't respect him but they support his agenda of turning the USA over to the global moneyed oligarchy, and given that, I'm sure he will be an honored guest there and nobody will act to offend him in any way.
