Trump Says He Is Willing to Speak Under Oath to Mueller. BUT has to listen to his lawyers.edit
Source: NYT
President Trump said on Wednesday that he was willing to speak under oath to Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel investigating Russias interference in the 2016 presidential campaign.
Im looking forward to it, Mr. Trump said of talking to Mr. Mueller, ending months of speculation over whether he would submit to questions from the special counsel, who is also believed to be looking into whether the president sought to thwart the inquiry.

We are losing superpower status, and rightly so.
The US no longer has the moral high ground either internationally or domestically.
Our leaders do not care what happens to American citizens.
I assume the US will survive in some fashion.
But not the country that our founding fathers hoped for.

(2,062 posts)Or we win the 2018 elections, help regain our country...help our citizens, in 2020, we win the presidential election, the new president on the first day sits at a table and with one stroke of the pen signs an executive order that says...." With this executive order, I hereby recall all previous administrations executive orders", including but not limited to reactivation of the Dreamer act, the cancellation of the off-shore drilling order, the cancellation of the pollution of waterways, etc, etc,etc....
that is what my hope is.

(2,062 posts)We all want that I think, just in different ways, but yes this administration has its aim set to destroy the Obama legacy, but it will not work. although things can happen fast, such as the deportations and other aspects of the immigration fight, but the majority of the actions in this country is very slow. This gives hope that in 3 years, this administration can be out on its ass, and we can begin to rebuild out standing in the world.

Well, there are lots of outs there.
- Candidity is in the eye of the beholder (Was that Voltaire?)
- Lucid is again depending on the the beholder (Dump's various physicians/faith-healers)
- As much as he knows could be based on his memory capabilities or selective amnesia
Can you prosecute someone who doesn't understand their crimes?
I hope you can at least put them in a padded cell somewhere and prosecute the shit out of everyone who has taken advantage of this poor moron.

(4,266 posts)Mueller's very carefully and meticulously worked his way up the chain of people he thinks are worth questioning. By now, if there's a lie told, Mueller probably already knows the truth of it.
Trump has said some things he simply won't be able to easily explain away before Mueller, i.e. mentioning "that Russia thing" as a problem in connection to Comey's firing. A lot of direct signs that he and his tried to meddle in the investigation and obstruct.
On the other hand, Trump doesn't have much choice either way. Mueller has him backed into a corner with all of the suspicious connections he's dug up. Trump's refusal to speak with the special counsel would only make him look more guilty.

His attorney would, of course, were they worth the paper their law school diploma is printed on, realize that this is NOT the case and do anything they can to prevent such an occurrence!
You're in no position to make any "but"s, Trump.

All joking aside, Trumpler's lawyers are like him: classless Dbags in over their heads. So, yeah he's already changed his story...shocked. As I said earlier, Roger Stone is a scumbag but he's right about the orange anus hanging himself if he does agree to talk to Mueller. Therefore, it won't happen IMHO.

(12,448 posts)Dump sees no downside in lying. And who can blame him? He lies every single day and not only his Deplorable base and the KKK, neo-Nazis and alt-right still supports him, but Congressional Republicans do too.
However, his day of reckoning is coming; Mueller won't be so accommodating! Like Mother Nature, it's not nice to lie to the Special Counsel.
