Grassley, Graham seek info on Trump dossier author's work for Dems

Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) are pushing for information about Democrats' past work with the former British intelligence agent behind a controversial opposition research dossier about President Trump's ties to Russia.

In a batch of letters sent Thursday, Grassley and Graham asked former Democratic National Committee and Clinton campaign officials to turn over information regarding potential interactions with the agent, Christopher Steele, who was retained by private research firm Fusion GPS during the 2016 presidential campaign to conduct research on Trump.

The letters were sent as part of a Senate Judiciary Committee investigation into the FBI's interactions with Steele and the extent to which the FBI may have relied on the controversial dossier to obtain authorization to surveil individuals associated with Trump's campaign.

The letters were sent to DNC chair Tom Perez, Clinton's campaign, former DNC chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (R-Fla.), former DNC chair Donna Brazile, former Clinton campaign chair John Podesta and former Clinton campaign chief strategist Joel Benenson.

1. This is nonsense. A GOP support group initially commissioned Steele. Ask them for info.

2. Most ironic fact is that Clinton campaign never used any of Steele Dossier against Trump

in campaign and that FBI never revealed during campaign that they were investigating the Trump Campaign because it was a top secret counterintelligence investigation involving national security with an adversarial foreign country. Clinton campaign and Obama Administration never politicized the dossier or the ongoing investigation.

Graham was ALL about exposing Trump for the POS he is, remember? Something changed along the way and he's been mostly on board since. Chuck? He's pure garbage from head to toe.
