Walmart announced Wednesday that it is raising its age restriction to 21 for firearm and ammunition purchases.
The company said in its statement that it made the decision in light of recent events and will try to implement this change "as quickly as possible."
Walmart also pointed out that in 2015 it ended sales of certain sporting rifles like the AR-15. The company also said it doesn't sell accessories like bump stocks or high-capacity magazines.
It also said it is removing items resembling assault-style rifles like toys from its website.

They will post their indignance and then go shopping there (Wallyworld) as always. As poor as most of them are (because of the policies they vote for), they don't have a choice.

(4,033 posts)That is not a snark or a condemnation, just a simple statement. If top management does not return a profit to its stockholders they suddenly find themselves out of a job. So they are very sensitive to the desires of their customers.
The number of corporations that are distancing themselves from the NRA and assault style weapons says more about the fact that there has been a significant change in attitude on the part of the buying public. Now, we need to keep that energy flowing and the Fla kids need to keep the energy flowing, and Trump and the NRA can go f**k themselves.
We did it with Limbaugh and now we have a chance to do it with guns.
