Ex-CIA director rips Trump for 'amazing' ignorance of how the world has transformed

Source: The Hill

BY JACQUELINE THOMSEN - 03/07/18 10:05 AM EST

Former CIA Director John Brennan ripped President Trump for blaming past leadership for U.S. manufacturing losses, saying Trump shows “an amazing albeit unsurprising ignorance” for how different industries have changed the world.

“You show an amazing albeit unsurprising ignorance of how technology, automation, and the attendant evolution of economics and societies have transformed the world,” Brennan tweeted at Trump on Wednesday.

“Your simple minded policies — imposition of tariffs — have the potential to seriously damage our future prosperity,” he continued.

Read Book #1, The Parable of the Sower, and Book #2, The Parable of the Talents.

Both books present a fairly logical dystopia.

In book two, a tyrant is elected. Remember Ms. Butler wrote these books and had them published in the 1990's. She died, far too young, before 45 became President. But the tyrant in her book has a slogan: Make America Great Again. It is chilling. Both books are chilling, and hard to read.

I first became acquainted with her work when I read a short story in Asimov's magazine called "Speech Sounds."

She was a magnificent writer, and the only black, female science fiction writer I know of.

Her other books really resonated with me. She is wonderful.

I wish she had lived longer and had a greater body of work.

Not only is he ignorant and dumber than a brick, he is unteachable because he arrogantly believes that he knows everything and is right about everything. This is why he is such a danger to the economy.

who is admired by many career government employees in both the intelligence and justice communities. He is also a master of manipulation and spy-speak.

I hope all present and former career government employees stand up. I do believe that it is unpatriotic to remain silent.

Interesting times, they (justice and cia) lost my conditional trust in their ability to protect US when they failed to discover (or ignored intelligence), take retaliatory cyber action and report the Russian cyber threat to American citizens.

Hence, a trade war now.
How long can we survive a Putin puppet in the White House?
