The United Kingdom believes Russia was likely behind the nerve agent attack that left a former Russian spy and his daughter hospitalized — but President Donald Trump isn’t ready yet to make a definitive judgement.

Speaking with reporters in the wake of his shock firing of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Trump was asked when the United States would condemn Russia for its alleged role in the nerve agent attack.

“It sounds to me that it would be Russia, based on all the evidence they have,” Trump admitted. Trump then said, however, that he would not condemn Russia until he had all the facts about the incident.

“As soon as we the facts straight, and we’re going to be speaking with the British today… as soon as we get the facts straight, if we agree with them, we will condemn Russia, or whoever it may be,” Trump said.
