Pa. 18 congressional district results: Democrat Conor Lamb maintains lead with absentee votes counte

Source: Philly.com

<snip>With all precincts fully reporting and absentee ballots counted, Lamb holds a 627-vote lead over Saccone in Pennsylvania’s 18th district, a GOP stronghold that President Trump won by nearly 20 percentage points during the 2016 election. NBC News has declared Lamb the “apparent winner,” while the Associated Press has not yet declared a winner. Lamb has claimed victory in the race, but Saccone has not conceded, and the national Republican Party hasn’t ruled out a recount.<snip>

It is far too serious of a time in our country for far left leaners to hurt us. We need electoral wins. Not purity wins.

Repugs have purity balls, but what in the wide wide world of sports is a purity win?

In all my born days never even heard of a “purity win”, can you illuminate please?

Maybe point out some examples of these purity wins in the past?

"Pure" in this context means supporting Bernie Sanders' whole platform.

The result of running a "pure" Democrat in a district that broke for Trump by 24 percent would have been Congressman Rick Saccone.

And I would never NOT VOTE FOR THE "D" ON ANY BALLOT!!!!!!!!

Wasn't a Bernie supporter and wasn't "thrilled" with Hillary, but come on....

Trump?? FUCKING TRUMP??

I blame a lot of those union members for the pumpkin headed imbecile. At least they came home in PA18 last night..

And.....I ALWAYS vote for the "D". No matter who.

Unless , of course it's that jerk off in Illinois or Tulsi Gabard. But they don't live in AZ so I don't have to make that choice.

We need to vote D no matter what. The Repukes are a treasonous crime family that needs to be destroyed at the ballot box....
Before something worse...Fascism takes over our beloved country.

Outside of the absentee and provisional ballots, there is no paper to recount from. It's just adding up all the precinct feeds again.

Not likely to change unless they dq a large number of absentee ballots for lamb.

hard to screw them up. any stray marks or written comments will be rejected as invalid. For example, they can't draw a line, and "x" it out and vote for the other candidate. The scanner would reject it.

If it records a vote for a candidate, there will be no question who the voter voted for. Although they may find some rejected ballots they can assign, but there won't be enough of those to make a difference.

What are they gonna do, ask the machines to repeat the numbers? Recounts only work if you have paper ballots and human counters. Electronic voting machines should be outlawed.

Meanwhile, suck it GOPers!

Do you get it now, GOP assholes? Are you really going to claim the election is rigged?

PERIOD.

Getting them to the polls and voting requires a good GROUND GAME.

Conor Lamb's campaign had a ground game that could overcome big money and big TV ads.

Wonder how many election cycles the Republicans have cheated in? I mean we would throw everything at elections and still come up short. Senate in particular.
