Biden says he would have 'beat the hell out' of Trump in high school for disrespecting women

Former Vice President Joe Biden took fresh jabs at President Donald Trump on Tuesday while speaking at an anti-sexual assault rally, telling students at the University of Miami that he probably would have "beat the hell out" of Trump if they'd attended school together.

"A guy who ended up becoming our national leader said, 'I can grab a woman anywhere and she likes it,'" Biden said. "They asked me if I’d like to debate this gentleman, and I said 'no.' I said, 'If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.'"

"I've been in a lot of locker rooms my whole life," Biden continued. "I'm a pretty damn good athlete. Any guy that talked that way was usually the fattest, ugliest S.O.B. in the room."

Biden made the comments Tuesday afternoon at the university's "It's on Us" rally, an event aiming to change on-campus culture surrounding sexual assault.

5. Trump has been surrounded by body guards and actual workers his entire life.

He didnt really go to school and when he did his professor described him as the stupidest person he ever taught.

He didnt really do work, of any kind, he hired others to do everything and his part was to promise to pay people and then not pay them.

He is such a terrible sex partner that he and AMI Have had to buy off probably HUNDREDS of women so they wont tell the truth about him.

Someone with money needs to buy AMI and release all those stories of all those women.

15. ANYONE speaking as much as a top politician for decades does can be said to have "gaffes"

Even someone like Barack Obama, who clearly parses his words carefully. It is so easy to have something labeled a gaffe. In many cases, the sentence or part of a sentence taken out of context is then put out .. and people label it a gaffe.

Consider how many times - even since November 2016, there has been uproar on comments by Hillary Clinton. Yet, she never had the label of being gaffe prone. My favorite politician, John Kerry, speaks very carefully .. usually in long, complex sentences. There have been many many times where a segment of a sentence has been put out and called a gaffe.

I agree that this comment sounds terrible, more because of what it says of all NON OBAMA AAs. Clearly Biden did not consider how it could sound before he said it. However, I get that Obama was among the first African Americans, where his race - though always noted -- did not make him not a mainstream politician. (Deval Patrick and Cory Booker are two others.) If you remember, in 2008, some Clinton surrogates actually argued that he was not "black enough".

There is no question that BOTH a positive and negative of Biden is his very outgoing, effusive personality. Part of that is that he is not as cautious in his speech as someone like Obama or Kerry.

Whether Biden or anyone of his generation will be the nominee will depend on the mood of the country in 2019 and 2020.

I suspect that many, even those who love Hillary, might agree that she was weighed down because she was seen as part of the establishment. Just being born in Scranton and having a folksy personality will NOT make Biden less an establishment figure. He has been a Senator or VP since 1972 ... the time since January 2017 is only time since shortly after he turned 30 that he was not in these important government positions.

Two of many possibilities that exist is will be intense nostalgia for the normality of the Obama years or that the country will still be searching for change from both the Obama years and the Trump ones. The demonetization of the Obama years that exists on the right is scary. However, 2020 is almost certainly going to be a referendum on Trump. The question is whether a relatively new politician or a trusted long term politician is seen as what the country needs to right our democracy.
