to watch and watch now. It’s so well done and has so many layers to it, for example exploring how there was a fledgling democracy that some people tried to grow. There are also references to experimental arts and the freedoms and change for women and LGBT.

Many people then had no idea of the scope of what was coming, even as they were fighting against parts of it in fragmented ways. I think more people, though still not enough, are getting the scope of the hazards now. Really time to put aside petty differences and stand against the tyranny.

I’m sending you a PM of the scene your post evoked. No worry about spoilers; it’s an early scene and you’ll enjoy and understand it more deeply when you watch the series and know the character connections, but even on its own, you can see many of the undercurrents.

That's a terrible thing to say because Kissinger is a walking nightmare, but it's also true: Kissinger's worldview was more realistic than Bolton's or Trump's. Kissinger's vision was of a world with the United States in a leadership role. Bolton and Trump want a world where the US says "jump" and the rest of the world asks how high.

There will be elections....and if he is able to stop elections from being held that are under State control, then Houston we truly have a problem. If he is able to stop them once, there will never be another election...and he would be POTUS for life.
