Former Disney Channel actress Caroline Sunshine has joined the White House press office as a press assistant.
While Sunshine starred in the Disney Channel show "Shake It Up" from 2010-2013, she has recently made her debut in the political realm as an intern for various Republican offices.
White House spokeswoman Lindsay Walters told CNN Sunshine has interned with House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), the California Republican Party, and the College Republican National Committee.
Sunshine served as a White House intern prior to garnering a permanent position.
The Trump White House has seen a number of high-level employees with television experience.

My 15 yo son needs a summer job, maybe I should have him apply. Something good, like foreign policy expert. In his defense, he can name a boatload of countries on a map. He has an affinity for it. Surely that qualifies him in this admininstration.
