Scott Walker appeals special election case outside of Dane County

Source: Wisconsin State Journal

/snip/

Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, R-Juneau, testified at the hearing that anywhere from 85 to 150 overseas voters, including some in the military, could be disenfranchised if the special elections proceed under the timeline set up in current state law. He noted there were no overseas ballots cast in the 10th Senate District special election in January, which was called 10 weeks in advance of the election.

"This is a real group that could be disenfranchised if this bill doesnt pass," Fitzgerald said.

The Legislature plans to convene in extraordinary session on Wednesday to pass a bill that would change when special elections must be called. The bill explicitly says it would take effect regardless of any pending court orders.

On Wednesday the Department of Justice filed a notice of appeal in the District 2 Court of Appeals, which covers the conservative Milwaukee suburbs and the Fox Valley, rather than District 4, which covers liberal Dane County.

The republicans will never win on merit, ideas or policy. So their only avenue is cheating.

It isn’t enough just to say that they are cheaters. The Republican mentality asserts that might makes right. If you can get away with it that that in itself justifies it.
Scratch the surface of a Republican and you find a school yard bully. At some some point though, they will place the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

The judge in this case was appointed by Walker 6 years ago. She is conservative, but apparently believes in following the law, unlike certain governors.

The out-of-state votes can be emailed directly (securely) to the judge who will count them and add them to the total.
The judge is Republican according to the OP, so that should be good enough for Walker.

We're in the digital age now.
