How did he ever get a bond?
Apparently, the revocation of the bond was due to outrage over this accused murdering terrorist being eligible for bond.

(4,787 posts)Bond allows someone to not have to come up with the full amount in *cash* by, say, selling a house. But the bail bond company is on the hook for the full amount if they get involved, not just the 10%. So they and their insurance company need a lien on something that is equal to the entire amount in the event that the guy skips.

I see the articles on the bond being revoked, but who was the judge that gave that bond amount?

(57,312 posts)I don't know TN law but I'm going to take a wild guess that the "OMG why does a killer get $2M bond he should have no bond" is pure horseshit. Hypothesis: since the stories say he was BOOKED on that bond it's an automatic application of a schedule.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Travis Reinking's erratic behavior began years before police say he showed up without pants at a Waffle House restaurant and killed four people with an assault-style rifle.
The onetime construction crane operator bounced between states and suffered from delusions, sometimes talking about plans to marry singer Taylor Swift, friends and relatives told police. He was arrested outside the White House last year after asking to speak to President Donald Trump, and his bizarre actions seemed to intensify in recent days with a car theft.
Now Reinking is charged in Tennessee with four counts of criminal homicide. He's been jailed without bond.
"He's a good kid that went off the handle for some reason," said Dave Warren, who once worked with Reinking in Colorado.
