George Zimmerman charged with misdemeanor stalking

Source: NY Daily News

George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watchdog who was acquitted in the fatal shooting of Florida teen Trayvon Martin, has been charged with misdemeanor stalking.

Zimmerman threatened and harassed a private investigator in December 2017, according to the Brevard and Seminole State Attorney's Office.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office conducted an investigating into the allegations and notified the state attorney's office of its findings on March 14, prosecutors said.

In July 2013, Zimmerman was found not guilty in the shooting death of Martin, who was killed on Feb. 26, 2012. His death sparked outrage from activists, including the Black Lives Matter movement, and protests nationwide.

This guy is a murderer who walked away from what should have been, at least, life in prison. He thinks he can do whatever he wants.

Not even taking into account all the times since the trial that they've read about this evil pos in the papers and may have questioned their verdict.
I would have hung the fucking jury in a heartbeat.

"neighborhood watchdog" or at least put "self-appointed" in front of the label. He was not acting in any kind of valid way as a "watchdog". Just looking for someone to harass.

Something very strange is going on in this county. I am glad that the County authority was pro-active with the allegations. Very reassuring.

That Zimmerman is a ticking time bomb and nobody wants him to go off in their jurisdiction in light of his post
Travion behavior. They are trying to build a paper trail of Police/court action against him so when he goes off
again they can say "Well, we tried to do something."

I suspect, with Zimmerman's established behavior and lack of judgment, things are not going to end well for him
when he draws down on the wrong guy.

According to a court filing, the 34-year-old Zimmerman threatened the investigator — who was working on a documentary about the 2012 killing — over a total of 55 phone calls, 67 text messages, 36 voicemail messages, and 27 emails. In one text, Zimmerman apparently referenced an article in which he had said, “I know how to handle people who fuck with me. I have since February of 2012.” The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office found that “probable cause exists to show that Zimmerman had in fact used electronic communications to send threatening and harassing communications,” and that the nature of those threats constituted Aggravated Stalking.

OTOH, if someone were investigating me, I might well react pretty badly, I don't know, since it's never happened, it would be creepy to have someone making a documentary about me....
