Cohen Responds to Avenatti’s Claims About Payments From Russian Oligarch: ‘His Document is Inaccurate’

Michael Cohen hit back at Michael Avenatti and the media outlets who reported on his covert financial dealings with Russian oligarchs.

The Stormy Daniels lawyer is challenging President Trump‘s personal lawyer to release his bank statements after it was reported Cohen received $1 million from a company linked to a Russian oligarch. Avenatti first tweeted about the payment, linking to a document including details about the transaction.

AT&T and multiple news outlets then corroborated details of the payment, and Avenatti has been speculating that its part of Cohen’s reimbursement for his Stormy Daniels hush money payments.

Reporters swarmed Cohen in New York earlier today, and they got this short response to the allegations made by Avenatti. “His document is inaccurate.”

Whether or not what is stated in the docs is "accurate" is not on Avenatti. That would be Cohen's doing. And looks like Cohen just confirmed his books are cooked. Nice.

If the document was not authentic he would have said something like "that document is completely bogus and a fabrication". His response basically confirms it's authenticity but maybe the numbers are a bit off.
