Novartis paid Trump lawyer Michael Cohen $1.2 million for advice on Obamacare - work he was unable
Source: CNBC
Drug giant Novartis revealed Wednesday that it paid President Donald Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen $1.2 million for health-care policy consulting work that he proved "unable" to do.
The company also said it has been questioned by special counsel Robert Mueller's team about the payments to Cohen.
NBC News reported later Wednesday that a senior Novartis official said that Cohen reached out shortly after Trump's election "promising access" to the new administration.
Novartis said it signed a one-year contract with Cohen's shell company, Essential Consultants, for $100,000 per month in February 2017, shortly after Trump was inaugurated as president.

So Avenatti WAS wrong. It wasn't $400K -- it was $1.2 MILLION.

(18,973 posts)This is a larger scandal than anything we've seen, why isn't this getting wall to wall coverage? The needle has moved so far that the truly outrageous only has a 15 minute shelf life.
This scandal alone is worse than anything since Nixon.

Why the hell did I ever waste all that time and money on college when I could have just done "nothing" and people will pay me millions for it?

(2,574 posts)I doubt Mueller's going to let it fly Kinda like saying "I paid that guy to killl somebody but it's not a big deal bkz he "proved unable to do it."
And BTW who knows what Cohen / Trump did for Novaris. That tax cut sure must have enriched Novaris billions. Also I don't notice Trump pushing any reimportation of foreign drugs plan or Medicare negotiating prices like the VA.
AT&T sure got Net Neutrality revoked fast for their bribe to Cohen/Trump. Novaris paid to play & also seems to have already gotten a lot for their $ from this administration..
