President Donald Trump said Thursday that his historic planned summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un would take place on June 12 in Singapore.

"The highly anticipated meeting between Kim Jong Un and myself will take place in Singapore on June 12th," Trump wrote on Twitter. "We will both try to make it a very special moment for World Peace!"

North Korea released three Americans it had been holding as prisoners ahead of the meeting, and Trump met the trio early Thursday on the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews.

If trumpo refered to Kim Jong Un as Chairman Un, it would be like calling trump president john, or something like that.
Kim's family name is well,, Kim.... his given name is Jong-Un, or Jong Un - depending on how one writes it.
