UNR grad faces fed charges for giving water to immigrants at Mexico border

Source: Reno Gazette Journal

A Reno native and University of Nevada, Reno graduate has made national headlines in his court battle against federal authorities who arrested him in January for offering aid to immigrants illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border.

Attorneys for Scott Warren, a volunteer with the aid group No More Deaths, last week asked a federal judge to dismiss charges in connection to his Jan. 17 arrest, the Arizona Republic reported. Border Patrol agents arrested Warren and two migrants who had taken refuge at a building in Ajo, Arizona, known as "the Barn," which is used for humanitarian purposes.

The arrest took place just hours after No More Deaths unveiled a report accusing the Border Patrol of tampering with water stations left for migrants trekking through the harsh Arizona desert, prompting accusations that Warren's arrest was retaliation for the report, the Arizona Republic reported.

. . .

Warren's attorneys are working to prove that Warren's arrest violates a long-standing understanding that humanitarian groups have had with Border Patrol agents and the U.S. Attorney's Office — that the groups can help migrants.

2. Perverse. We could be doing more to improve the US by helping immigrants

rather than by spending billions on hurting them. All because of some demented persons opinion.

This demented policy is being supported by people that all came to this country through immigration. The original inhabitants that had been here 10,000 years before (even before Adam and Eve) aren't supporting this level of anti-immigrant behavior.

The whites, upper-class, gentrified, europeans, "have what they want". The rest of us be screwed.

The only thing he works for or inspires is the exact opposite of the best side of humanity, and the opposite of everything Christ stood for.

..... makes me terrified someone will attempt to assassinate him, he still remain President but with worries about competence after the injury, and the worst Beast rise up affer him .... Pence.

After all, Revelations talks about the end of the world being heralded by Trunpets... or did they mean Trunp/Pence?

I'm like 99% anti when it comes to the Revelations chapter ever being accepted as canonical, but on that 1% chance... let him get through his first term, and hopefully elected out so it's his only, safely.

Besides, getting shot at/injured gives any Prez plusses at re-election time. As much as I hate the bastard, I literally pray for his safety because people would shit bricks/civil rights/etc.
