Most Americans don't realize Robert Mueller's investigation has uncovered crimes

Source: Vox

A majority of Americans — 59 percent — say in a new survey that Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russia and the 2016 campaign has not yet uncovered evidence of any crimes, even though in reality, Mueller has already obtained five guilty pleas and 17 criminal indictments.

That’s according to a new survey from Navigator Research that looks at Americans’ view of the probe and ought to reshape the debate over the Russia investigation’s role in both media coverage and Democratic Party messaging.

As you may know there is currently an investigation going on right now into Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and any Russian Government involvement in the 2016 election. How much have you heard about this investigation?
49 Heard a lot
32 Heard some
15 Head a little
3 Heard nothing at all

To the best of your knowledge, has the investigation uncovered any crimes?
41 Yes
59 No

They think anyone you put in office, they're corrupt, and aren't terribly surprised when it comes out. I think most people still think that Hillary would have been under investigation by this point as well. So they tune out to save their sanity. I know so many people who do this.

That's why targeted ads for those who care about corruption could be helpful, but for most folks, that's still another version of "vote for us, we're not Trump". We need a real message that is based on real ideas. Problem is, no one seems to have any of those.

"If you tell a lie big enough and long enough a number of the people will believe it." J Gobbels (very rough quote)

You have many Americans who still think Hillary is guilty of something to do with her emails,
President Obama wasn't born in America, and that Donald Trump is a successful businessman
because of the non stop brain washing. Cambridge Analytica w/the help of Facebook and Russia
took this to a new level in 2016.

To Trump voters the charges of Trump working with Russia vindicates what Trump has been
telling them about "the deep state" and "spigot."

Most Americans don't read the newspaper anymore. Most Americans don't watch the nightly news anymore. Most Americans don't watch cable news anymore. Most Americans are completely removed from the news beyond major breaking stories. And the fact is, unless it's some big fish who's getting jail time for the crimes, it's unlikely to trickle down. You can't blame FOX News for this or even the right-wing news because most Americans don't interact with that media avenue.

The only way it's going to hit average Americans is if it's someone really close to Trump going to jail - like his son in law. Then that's major news. The rest? They're names people don't know.

Adam Geller is the founder and CEO of the Republican polling firm, National Research Inc.

As one of the pollsters for the Donald J. Trump for President campaign, Adam’s responsibilities included all polling and strategic recommendations for the key Rust Belt states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa – the states that, along with Pennsylvania, completely shattered the “Blue Wall” for Democrats and delivered President Trump’s victory.

Too bad Vox went on to state it's the democrats and media messaging not doing enough without knowing more. While that might be valid how can anyone be sure if no one knows how these people are getting what little news, if any at all? If they all responded they watch Fox news or listen to conservative radio then what would Vox summarize as the problem?

Polls are so annoying.

repeating their lies and propaganda. From affiliate channels, associated websites, bloggers, emailed alerts, hate radio, and opinionated experts, that massive echo chamber ripples around the country 24/7. Even the MSM stations and the semi-left leaning MSNBC repeat the false and misleading stories that originate on Fox News, and they all have a cottage industry of paid contributors spouting rightwing lies.

Given all that, it isn't surprising to see the widespread effects of state endorsed propaganda that hides behind the Fox News logo.

If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it, and you will even come to believe it yourself. - Joseph Goebbels, Hitler's Propaganda Minister

This is Trump's primary philosophy and it works.
People will believe anything, no matter how ludicrous, if they hear it often enough.

He knows that he can win the public over to his side by repeating, ad infinitum, his lies without reservation.
The media report his lies over and over which magnifies the effect on the public.
Rarely do they call them out as lies, they are just reported as what Trump said.
Everything is geared towards propagating his lies just as they did during the election and he knows it.

I am beginning to lose faith that justice will be done in Trump's case.
He won the election with his criminal dishonesty and I believe he may remain in power and continue to destroy out democracy with out any checks or retribution using the same technique.

Mueller has the goods on him but that makes no difference if Congress decides to ignore his crimes.

I hope we will win both houses in November but there is a lot of time before that for Trump to use his lies to build back up his voting base.
