Trump says Wilbur Ross is 'past his prime': report

Source: The Hill

President Trump has reportedly bashed Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross as being "past his prime" amid tensions within the administration over trade negotiations with China in recent weeks.

Trump's remarks toward the 80-year-old agency head come as Trump has reportedly kept Ross sidelined for key talks with China, according to Politico.

Though Trump once hailed his longtime friend Ross, a billionaire investor and trade magnate, as a champion of America-first trade policies, he now says Ross is "no longer a killer."

Ross is still working with the president on some trade issues, but Trump has reportedly largely bypassed the secretary in top-priority negotiations, and he was initially not invited to a May summit with Chinese trade officials led by Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, multiple sources told the outlet.

Because Wilburrrr falls asleep and drools in meetings? Or because he can't implement dft's pie-in-the-sky something-for-nothing deals with players in the real world?

He installed figureheads who are only consulted when they agree with what Trump already decided was best. This is the basis of his "I know more than the generals" policy of micromanagement.

Hate to tell you this, Orange Boy, but a person who was born a year after WWII ended and makes references to obscure 1950s sitcoms like "Mister Peepers" ain't exactly young himself.

Considering that he's going to live to be 200 years old, 70 is the new 30.
