The Trump of Britain.

Johnson and Trump should exit to some island somewhere and rule over that, like Napoleon on Elba.

And part of what must be a danger point for Putin's plans also. Good luck, PM May.

The Brexit vote was clearly as compromised as our presidential election by the same unholy alliance of mega-wealthy right-wingers and Russian disinformationists.

Just as in WWII, we might end up being the word's last defense against Putin. If we both survive.

If a confidence vote gets called we might be looking at snap elections. Again.

that can challenge for PM? I got the impression before that the head of Labour wasn't really all that viable for PM last time out.

Which would most likely be an acrimonious affair, possibly splitting the party. I very much doubt that any successor to Theresa May as Conservative leader would be anything other than a complete fruitcake.

If they then lose a vote of confidence parliament it's a matter of how they can call a snap election. With the Conservatives in disarray it would be a contest to see who can f**k up the least, and Labour could certainly end up as the largest Party, which would result in Jeremy Corbyn becoming PM.

But we live in strange times, and strange things can happen. Just look at the last UK general election!

A total disaster as foreign secretary, and Theresa May should have sacked him much sooner rather then letting him flounce of his own accord.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/jul/09/jeremy-hunt-appointed-to-replace-boris-johnson

At my nephew's funeral, my brother and sister-in-law said "and, of course, we thank all the amazing people in the NHS. Not Jeremy Hunt, of course." And there was a general murmur of agreement. It takes something to get called out at a funeral, and for the whole congregation to think it justified.
