Waymo announces partnerships with Walmart, other big companies to expand footprint of its self-driving cars

The self-driving car unit of Alphabet, Google’s parent company, said in a blog post that it is launching a pilot program in Arizona to shuttle customers to and from the major retailer. The program is expected to start by the end of the week. The company also said that it’s expanding its partnerships with rental-car company Avis and auto dealer AutoNation.
