Trump believes next meeting with Putin should happen 'after the Russia witch hunt is over,'

Source: CNBC

President Donald Trump's national security advisor said Wednesday that the next bilateral meeting between Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin should happen "after the Russia witch hunt is over."

“The President believes that the next bilateral meeting with President Putin should take place after the Russia witch hunt is over, so we’ve agreed that it will be after the first of the year,” John Bolton told reporters Wednesday.

The White House had earlier said that Trump would meet with Putin at the White House in the fall. The plan drew condemnation from lawmakers. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., said he would not invite Putin to speak before Congress during the planned Washington visit.

This story is developing.

He only invited him as a "Fuck You" to everyone who criticized his meeting with Putin and now he has egg all over his face. Neither party thought the invitation was a good idea (especially near the midterms).

I always thought he was coached to make sure he claimed that the witch hunt was on him. That Russia (and many many others) did interfere to some degree, but he had nothing to do with it, even if he gained from it.

Now he's moved on to saying Russia itself is under a witch hunt.

After trump gets indicted and found guilty, he will run to the arms of Putin, although unless the man-child does have money and no debts, that Putin will welcome him. Up to now, the man-child has not delivered the most important things Putin wants.

Leavenworth is pretty strict about admitting foreign visitors.

Colbert should have as much fun with this as my fellow DUers.
