Veterans cover swastika site with U.S. flag and recite the pledge

Source: Omaha World Herald

By Andrew J. Nelson 9 hrs ago

A group of veterans unfurled a large American flag Wednesday evening over the site of a swastika that had been burned into the grass at Memorial Park, and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

“As veterans ... we needed to restore dignity and honor to that location,” said Jose F. Garcia, 72, a veteran who participated in the ceremony. “We took it personal.”

On July 21, someone burned the symbol into the great lawn of the park, which faces Dodge Street. The symbol was etched into a hill that slopes to the west of the park’s white stone monument and U.S. flag that stand as a tribute to fallen military members , including those killed in World War II fighting Nazism.

By Monday, Parks Department employees had tilled, fertilized and reseeded the area.

They aren't very fine people like Traitor Trump said. They are enemies of America.

Nazis and confederate worshippers try to paint themselves as all American, when they are nothing but Traitors.

I see the confederate flag being flown on houses and trucks in my area (fucking New York State??) and, everytime I have the chance to communicate with such asscarrots, I remind them that THAT fucking flag is an enemy flag and that my Great Great Grandfather fought, and was seriously wounded, at Gettysburg and The Battle of the Wilderness. Then, I tell them it might as well be an Imperial Germany, Fascist Italy, or a Nazi flag.

...that's disrespecting the American flag. Trump says we should revoke the citizenship of people who do that.

In the end, it will be the good people in the world who win, after such a long bitter struggle. They will overcome the evil. It's destiny.

Thank you, Omaha Steve.

that I'm a veteran. It is something that can never be taken away from me. I joined right out of high school. probably would have not joined had it not been for the draft, but serving my country was so good for me. Got me away from the people I was hanging out with and off the road to nowhere. Naval aviation, aircrewman, Flew out of DaNang and Japan. No regrets

So glad that Trump didn't serve. He wasn't good enough.
