On Sunday morning, Donald Trump tweeted that he met with the publisher of the New York Times and confronted him over what the president calls “fake news,” adding that the free press is becoming the “Enemy of the People.”

According to Trump, “Had a very good and interesting meeting at the White House with A.G. Sulzberger, Publisher of the New York Times. Spent much time talking about the vast amounts of Fake News being put out by the media & how that Fake News has morphed into phrase, ‘Enemy of the People.’ Sad!”

Earlier in the morning Trump bizarrely boasted that he had higher polls number than even President Abraham Lincoln — who served when there was no polling

I cannot see the NYT publisher meeting privately with Trump. Now if this situation was something like the Pentagon Papers, I could see it, but not this.

Its his enemy, the truth, and he knows his propaganda he and putin are promoting won't work unless they con people into believing the truth is a lie, and their lies are the truth, and that's why they hate the free press , and free speech, because they're liars, and very , very corrupt , and criminals. They use Joseph Goebbels tactics promoting propaganda and taking advantage of many that'll be CONvinced of the opposite. He hates being exposed, which all corrupt criminals hate, and he abuses his powers to try to undermine that. His threats will escalate , and against all that refuse to bow down to his demands, or he'll get dirt on people to use against them, and make it look like he's winning people over. He isn't. HE's doing the same thing to law enforcement , and all in law enforcement should be totally against this, and when they refuse his demands he'll go to great levels to hurt them , and destroy them for resisting. He wants the trump press, and the department of trump justice for his personal tools for revenge. Again just like putin has done, so if he's working for putin now , its putin wanting this.
