Donald Trump's visit to Ireland in November cancelled

Source: RTE

The planned visit of US President Donald Trump to Ireland in November has been cancelled.

A Government spokesperson said that the visit by Mr Trump has been "postponed for scheduling reasons".
...
Last week, Mr Varadkar said the news that Mr Trump was to visit Ireland "came a little bit out of the blue".
...
Sources in the Department of An Taoiseach and the Department of Foreign Affairs have said the cancellation comes as a considerable surprise to Mr Varadkar and to the Government.

If the world should decide to let the plane land because of all the "innocents" on board, perhaps everyone could be put in indefinite detention awaiting an ICC ruling.

and he loses the House and maybe even the Senate. I don't think he wants to face the music that he lost. It will be hard for him to justify the loss.

media outlets would be asking Trump some pretty hardcore questions. "Do you take any responsibility for your party losing control of the U.S. Congress?" "Do you feel that your unpopularity with a majority of American voters played any part in the recent Republican Congressional losses?" "You're now being described by your own party's leadership as 'an albatross around our necks' and the Republican party - your party - is now openly and publicly turning against you. How do you respond to that?"

Oh, yeah...........Trump wouldn't like those kind of questions. Not one damn bit.

an Irish boy descendant made good in America.

Reagan, no. He sided with Thatcher's Tories, not very popular in Ireland.

Trump? He's better off not going. St. Patrick would drive the snake away.

Cancellation of Trump's November visit to Ireland is "a bullet dodged for sure," an Irish diplomatic source familiar with negotiations tells @mattyhoyeCNN who reports many officials in Irish government "were definitely not looking forward to Trump's visit.”
