Kavanaugh says he's willing to testify on woman's allegation

Source: The Hill

BY JORDAN FABIAN - 09/17/18 10:23 AM EDT

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Monday said he is willing to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee against a woman's charge that he sexually assaulted her in high school.

Kavanaugh in a new statement on Monday called the woman's accusation a "completely false allegation."

“This is a completely false allegation. I have never done anything like what the accuser describes—to her or to anyone," Kavanaugh said. "Because this never happened, I had no idea who was making this accusation until she identified herself yesterday."

Kavanaugh was spotted by television cameras walking to the White House shortly before the statement was released.

1. He does not deny having known Dr. Ford.

2. He does not deny being at the house party where this allegedly took place.

To me, that is a major problem for Judge Kavanaugh.

Ford doesn't remember when/where the party was and (IIRC) didn't know him for very long. He could easily deny knowing who she is and it would be even easier to deny being at the party since no questioner will have enough information to pin him down.

Some of his "65 women" defenders claim that they never knew her, so he can probably get away with saying at least that he doesn't remember her at all.

What is needed is to have one of the remaining two guys say something like "yeah... that was at my house" and confirm that both were there.

prove they knew it would come out? They obviously knew who Dr. Ford was. They knew and had had a plan to protect Sexual-Assaulter Kavanaugh.

He doesn't actually know what he did or didn't do in his high school years. If there is evidence that he was a blackout drunk and he unequivocally denies these allegations, he's lying.

One year after alleged sexual assault, Kavanaugh’s friend and alleged accomplice (Mark Judge) thought it great to associate himself with this quote in their high school yearbook 1983:

"Certain women should be struck regularly, like gongs"

It should be interesting to see how he stretches that out into anything more than two minutes.

At the risk of seeming politically incorrect, I am reminded of the Uncle Remus story of Brer Rabbit's encounter with the T** B***. Once Kavanaugh throws that first punch there can be no disengagement, but he seems to have the Donald Trump disease, which prevents him from ignoring any jab, insult or accusation without a verbal counter-punch.

All kinds of questions are in play now.

Did you drink while you were in high school? How many times? What did your daughters say when they found out? What other laws did you break? Every drive back from a party after drinking? Ever forget what happened when you were drinking?

How many girls did you go out with in school? How many did you grope (consensual or not)? Would they all agree that consent was involved? Why not give us their names so we can confirm.

Very good question - put him on defense - Do you regularly blackout while drinking alcohol?

He claims he doesn't remember, she claims they were drunk - both can be true.

Kavanaugh has proved he is nothing less than a sociopathic, opportunistic liar. Just like the freak who nominated him and the quisling party that will cram him down into one of the most significant and permanent positions in the entire world. This walking perversion will be putting his rubber stamp on rule by oligarchy for the next 30 or 40 years. More than a generation to come. Dog forgive us for allowing the abomination who will have put him there anywhere near Washington D.C., let alone the White House.

aged males.

They assault girls and young women and think of it as a game - and not the sexual assault it actually is.

They've been conditioned to believe that's how men act, that No really means Yes, and that girls will pretend to not want it but really do.

So when some guy says "I have never done anything like what the accuser describes", I don't hear - it didn't happen. I hear - I would describe what happened differently - because they would...by their definition of their actions.

Which in no way means sexual assault didn't happen.

It highlights an attitude held by some men that they don't see their own actions as rape/sexual assault because they have an image in their minds of who a rapist is and they think they don't fit that image - even though they do - and they are, in fact, a rapist/sexual predator.

Some women think bad things, like rape, only happen to "bad girls". So if they aren't "bad girls" then rape can't happen to them.

Some men (and boys) think in much the same manner. Only the wrong kind of males rape - and if they are A students, well-liked, a great athlete - whatever...then they aren't raping women. They are getting their due or just proving they're men. The victim doesn't matter, the victim isn't important, or the victim should be honored. Besides, she's a slut and you can't rape a slut. ("bad girl" )

Even in this day and age, both men/women - boys/girls have some truly frightening ideas about rape that still persist regardless of all the information out there teaching them otherwise.

A sexist society does everything it can to reinforce those abhorrent attitudes about rape. It creates more victims, it suppresses the likelihood of a victim reporting their rape, it reduces the chance of actually being charged once reported, and it allows the guilty to go free or to get a slap on the wrist.

Or, in Kavanaugh's case - a potential seat on the SCotUS.

From dkos...

The FBI has professor Christine Blasey Ford's letter, and may or may not be talking to her right now, which is potential criminal exposure for Kavanaugh. Then there's the very real possibility that there are other sexual assault shoes that could drop here, given the swirling rumors in D.C. about reporters chasing down new stories from new accusers. The potential for that is even greater, given his high school track record and the support for Blasey Ford that’s quickly surfacing from her classmates.

His ego or desire to sit on the Supreme Court is outweighing what any responsible nominee would have done and that is
to remove him/herself. What a cluster*ck this has turned out to be.
