Kavanaugh to hand over calendars from 1982 that don't show party of alleged incident
Source: The Hill
Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is planning to give the Senate Judiciary Committee calendars from his high school years his legal team argues will back up his denial of sexual misconduct allegations, The New York Times reported on Sunday.
The calendars reportedly show that Kavanaugh was away for most of the summer in 1982, the year that Christine Blasey Ford claims Kavanaugh assaulted her at a party. According to the Times, the calendars include details about other gatherings that he attended, but do not include details about a party similar to the one detailed by Ford.
Kavanaugh's lawyers acknowledged to the Times that Kavanaugh could have attended a party that he did not list on the calendars, but they are planning to argue that it proves there is no corroboration for her account.
Ford on Sunday agreed to publicly testify about the alleged misconduct. The hearing is set for Thursday.
Ford says Kavanaugh pinned her down, groped her and attempted to remove her clothes during a small gathering when the two were high school students at neighboring D.C.-area schools. She says the incident has caused her decades of emotional trauma, a claim substantiated by her therapist's notes in 2012 and 2013.

(7,523 posts)marking dates of exams and homework deadlines, why would they write parties in it?
Other than formal ones - as many parties as it sounds like there were, why keep record of that?
I know in college and from dorm life, get-togethers happened sometimes spontaneously. You're already living together. It's Friday night, Saturday night, of course someone's having a party.

(498 posts)And... the difference between Trump and Kavanaugh? On Trump's calendar, you'd find the dates and times of the sexual assaults. He'd show them off in an interview on fox news and then say it's fake news and no collusion.

(15,536 posts)Can't you just see him and the orange anus mouth sitting in the Oval Office with an old calendar from 1982 filling in things on each day?
Anus mouth: "Well, let's see. For the 10th of the month we'll put dentist appointment."
Brett the drunk: "I think I'll put down shopping for new sports jacket on the 12th."
Honestly, I love the smell of desperation on this goon.

My uncle used calendars to mark off bills paid and would insert them for the accountant. It was always comical to see bulging piles of bills stuffed into a calendar, wrapped by rubber bands.

Someone had access to a free house with a pool and some alcohol for a period of time and invited whoever was around and available to show up.

Beside the point that no normal teenager would need a calendar documenting their party habits, or save it for decades as an adult
