Trump: I would've pushed Kavanaugh confirmation 'a lot faster'

Source: The Hill

BY BRETT SAMUELS - 09/26/18 09:34 AM EDT

President Trump said Wednesday he would have preferred Republicans completed Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation process prior to sexual misconduct allegations against him surfacing.

"I think the Senate the Republicans could not be nicer in the way they’re handling this," Trump told reporters upon arriving at the United Nations in New York.

"They could’ve pushed it through two-and-a-half weeks ago, and you wouldn’t be talking about it right now, which is frankly what I would’ve preferred, but they didn’t do that," the president added.

Trump's criticism of Republicans' slow-walking of the confirmation process comes a day before Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford are set to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee about her allegation that the judge pinned her to a bed and groped her during a 1980s high school party.

Interesting tell from Trump: "The Republicans could not be nicer than the way they're handling this. They could have pushed it through two and a half weeks ago and you wouldn't be talking about it right now, which is, frankly, what I would have preferred." (via Fox)

and he wants to turn the United States into a dictatorship. I want Stephen Miller impeached - right now! I know he wasn't elected, but while tRump is out in front acting as a buffoon and distraction, Stephen Miller is working his fool head off in the background developing the "plan" we see being played out. #BASTA

That is inaccurate and shitty writing.

The Republicans have been accelerating the process. Even McConnell acknowledges as much when he said they were going to plow ahead.

The Hill is good as often as it's bad.

Things'd go a lot easier for TRMP and that's all that's important to him.
