The Supreme Court is now voters' top midterm issue

Source: Axios

A new Pew Research survey found 76% of registered voters say Supreme Court appointments will be a "very important" part of their 2018 midterm vote in November.

Why it matters: That's higher than the 65% of voters who said the same in June 2016, and more voters consider the Supreme Court as a crucial voting issue right now than health care (75%) and the economy (74%) — the two leading topics throughout this cycle.

and this packing of the courts with right wing hacks, as made this country what it is today...............the facts bear this out when you have libertarians republicans right wingers rigging the system of power.

Nancy MaClean's book : Democracy in Chains, I believe explains how and what and why we are here today, and all of the pundits that attacked her, tells me that she struck a nerve .......................and exposed how the right wing cabal, has flourished in this country

either voting third party or NOT voting.

In every one of those critical swing states Hillary lost by less than 1%, and in those states, Ms. Stein received that 1% of the vote.

As a special bonus from these so-called purist who were pontificating at the time the SC didn't matter to them because they were "tired of voting for the lesser of the two evils". That was bullshit, and a lie, but they managed to spread and influence just enough naïve people to believe that FALSE EQUIVALENCY LIE.

Every Democrat running for Senate in those critical swing states lost to the establishment, incumbent, republican, and those Democrats were progressive by any standard.

In 2016, Republicons were more motivated by SCotUS than Democrats, independents, and sometime-voters.

You can't conclude that that has changed.

Just because the numbers are up on SCotUS as an issue does not mean that they are necessarily up more among Democrats and wobblies and sometime-voters.

and those other so-called self-identified progressives on social media push the big LIE of the false equivalencies between the republicans and Democrats

I regard them the same way I regard the socio-path in the WH. However, those that were gullible and naïve, now more than aware of those frauds. A lot of them weren't around in 2000 where the same lies spewed.

However, the polls seem to disagree with you assessment, and I am not just talking about this SC poll, I am talking about the midterm polls.

I wonder if certain folks on the left are learning just how important the SC is and that last election. Look at the lengths the traitors will go to. They are risking not being able to show their faces in public ever again, ever. Not at a movie theater, restaurant, etc.

THEY know how important this is, too bad we didnt all.

Now in their case, sure, they are doing this so they can achieve their lifelong dream of executing women in alleys for having sex without permission or imprisoning them, whichever is easier.

And other issues that the Trumpublicans want to reverse or establish.

In fact, I'd think that the greater amount of that 76% are Evangelical Republican voters. As for many, it is the only issue and the only reason they say they put up with his immorality, is that he is a broken vessel being used by God to reverse abortion right laws, and help turn the country into a theocracy.

So that can't be a legitimate reason to vote. If they're angry about it, fine...they should vote. But the reason for voting is to DO something about something. At least that's my reason for voting.

Of course there's Ginsburg. But that is for the 2020 election. I hope not before then.

I think it'll be 100% off of the MSM's radar in 8 -10 days, and everyone will move on to the latest outrage coming out of this White House.

The next North Korea summit will come up, and the media will be 24/7 focused on that. Maybe Canada will agree to the renegotiated NAFTA, or maybe Trump will decide to push things and proceed with an exclusive agreement with Mexico. Maybe he'll drop a few bombs in Syria.

In any case, Kavanaugh and the Supreme's will disappear into obscurity until opinions start coming out over the summer of next year.
