Trump repeats racial slur for Warren

President Trump repeated his use of a racial slur for native Americans when criticizing Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) in West Virginia Saturday night.

Trump made the remarks at a rally for Senate candidate and state Attorney General Patrick Morrisey (R) in West Virginia. He also used the opportunity to criticize the "Democrat party" as having been radicalized.

"Pocahontas is now considered a conservative in the Democrat party...Pocahontas, Elizabeth Warren she's considered like a conservative person," he said. "They've gone crazy. They've gone loco."

Trump has frequently used the term "Pocahontas" as a criticism of Warren to reference to her disputed claims that she is of Native-American descent

The National Congress of American Indians has previously called out Trump for the usage of the term in a statement.

"We honor the contributions of Pocahontas, a hero to her people, the Pamunkey Indian Tribe in Virginia, who reached across uncertain boundaries and brought people together. Once again, we call upon the President to refrain from using her name in a way that denigrates her legacy.”
