Obama campaign has an arena fallback plan in case of rain

Source: Politico

President Obama's campaign said Monday they would move his primetime address to the Democratic convention inside the Time Warner Cable Arena in downtown Charlotte in the event of rain.

"We're still hopeful that we can speak in the stadium," deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter said on MSNBC's Daily Rundown.

"We always knew that this could be part of the plan," Cutter said. "We'll make a call sometime in the near future about whether to move it indoors."

Obama is scheduled to speak outdoors at the Bank of America stadium — an outdoor stadium without a roof. It's a repeat of Obama's 2008 speech, where he accepted his nomination outdoors at Invesco Field.

They have chosen an open roof convention? We thought Rmoney was an idiot for having his in Tampa during hurricane season, but we chose a place with no roof?

Really? Am I getting this straight? We will have to move the convention in the event of rain. Have you seen the forecast. Mother fucking thunderstorms the entire convention.

What the fuck were they thinking using a Bank of fuck you America, convention site anyway? Couldn't find one that said fuck you America any better than that?

I am really pissed off right now.

Now people won't know where they are suppose to be. They just set themselves up to fuck up their own convention. Just seems like such a Rmoney mistake.

Someone please explain to me that I am wrong on this.

Phew! That's much better. I was never happy about the Big Bank of FU America thing to begin with. Then when I thought they had planned the whole thing in an outside stadium, I thought the whole thing was going to be worse than Rmoney with a hurricane.

I thought the whole thing was being held there. Where is the rest of the convention being held?

Phew, thanks

It would be risky without a contingency plan' but with it' if the weather cooperates they get a really cool open sky event - I assume with higher capacity.

cleansing

but I think their fallback was always to continue the convention in the hall if rain didn't permit a shift to the outside location

They probably are hoping to use the stadium so that they can include more people.
Unlike when (R)money uses a stadium, I'm sure they can fill it.
