Carter Page files defamation lawsuit against DNC

Source: The Hill

Former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page said Monday that he has filed a defamation lawsuit against the Democratic National Committee over a dossier that alleges ties between Page and Russia.

Page said on Fox News's "Hannity" that his lawsuit "goes beyond any damages or any financial aspects."

"There have been so many lies as you’re alluding to and you look at the damage it did to our Democratic systems and our institutions of government back in 2016. And I’m just trying to get some justice," he said.

Page's lawsuit is against both the DNC and its law firm, Perkins Coie, as well as a few of the firm's partners, he said on "Hannity."

The lawsuit concerns a controversial dossier compiled by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele. The dossier was first funded by Republicans seeking opposition research on Trump and later by Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Convention.

There is an old saying about a lawyer who represents themselves. That saying applies double to a layperson who represent himself

But I'll take your word for it that it's pro se.

An obvious political move before the mid-terms. Something to move the needle in the opposite direction and hopefully stop the disintegration of their numbers.

The idiot will rue this day, as will those who support him.

You'd think that after looking up at the bear's maw (Mueller), pissant Page would learn to not poke the bear.

7. A court threw out a similar pro se lawsuit filed by Carter Page against Yahoo

Oct 2018

This is not the first pro se lawsuit filed by Carter page https://www.politico.com/story/2018/03/21/carter-page-yahoo-lawsuit-477568

A federal judge has dismissed former Trump adviser Carter Page's legal claims over a September 2016 Yahoo news article that revealed he was under U.S. government scrutiny over his ties to Russia.

U.S. District Court Judge Lorna Schofield rejected a portion of a lawsuit Page filed without an attorney last year seeking damages against Yahoo's parent company Oath over the 2016 story by veteran investigative reporter Michael Isikoff.

Schofield's ruling issued Tuesday came largely on technical grounds. She said the article could not be considered a violation of a federal law known as the Anti-Terrorism Act, despite Page's claim that the story, headlined "U.S. intel officials probe ties between Trump adviser and Kremlin" resulted in death threats against him.

However, Schofield noted that Page never really argued that the Yahoo story was false

Never admit to anything, and attack, attack, attack.

They actually think Trump is some kind of genius and his "formula for winning" never fails. It must be terribly depressing to have spent so much money on a college education and still be so stupid!

Geez, Carter Paige is not a hill you want to die on. (Speaking to GOP).

I can't wait to see discovery if I was one of the DNC lawyers.
