Trump: Republicans attacked as 'racist' only because they're winning

President Donald Trump on Wednesday pushed back against critics who have labeled him and others in the GOP as racist, telling an interviewer that such criticism is a sign that Democrats are growing desperate in their efforts to win back power in Washington.
“You know the word ‘racist’ is used about every Republican that’s winning,” he told Christian Broadcasting Network’s Jenna Browder en route to a campaign rally in Florida. “Any time a Republican is leading they take out the ‘R’ word, the ‘racist’ word. And I’m not anti-immigrant at all.”
Trump has long been accused of relying on racially charged rhetoric, especially in his push for more stringent immigration policies and tougher border security. He famously said the population of Mexican immigrants coming into the U.S. was made up, at least in part, of rapists, drug-dealers and other criminals. On Wednesday, he posted a video to Twitter blaming Democrats for murders committed by an undocumented immigrant and suggesting that caravans of mostly Central American immigrants making their way toward the U.S. through Mexico contains other criminals.
Trump also headlined a rally on Wednesday for Florida gubernatorial nominee Ron DeSantis, who is running against Democrat Andrew Gillum, an African-American, in a tight race that has teemed with racial tension.

Trump declares 'the blue wave is dead'

President Donald Trump insisted on Wednesday that the Democratic Party does not have the midterm momentum that its leaders have claimed, proclaiming that “the blue wave is dead.”
In an interview with Christian Broadcast Network’s David Brody and Jenna Browder, Trump expressed confidence that Republicans would win the Senate and “do very well in the House." His comments came one day after House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) declared that Democrats "will win" control of the House perform well in Senate and gubernatorial races across the country.
“I think the blue wave is dead, frankly,” Trump told CBN in an interview taped Wednesday aboard Air Force One. “And I think we’re doing very well. It looks like we’re going to win the Senate which is very important.”
Trump stopped short of predicting that Republicans would maintain their majority in the House next Tuesday but slammed Pelosi, the longtime Democratic leader that GOP candidates have used as a foil in races nationwide.

that no matter what it is - even if it is something completely fabricated - he will find something to gloat about.
As an example - he'll claim he now has 15,000 troops at the border (false) and right after election day, he'll insist that "The Caravan™" (that is still 1000 miles away from any border) hasn't crossed the border yet because of the "troops" (false). It will become his "See? I saved you!1111!!!" moment.
