China grants more trademark approvals for Ivanka Trump firm - including voting machines

Source: Reuters

NOVEMBER 6, 2018 / 3:16 AM / UPDATED 5 HOURS AGO

BEIJING (Reuters) - China last month granted initial approval for 16 new trademarks for the fashion brand of U.S. President Donald Trump’s daughter and adviser Ivanka, including voting machines, a search of official records on Tuesday showed.

Ivanka announced in July she was shutting her fashion line to focus on her role as an informal White House adviser, where she is working on advancing working women.

Since Trump’s surprise November 2016 election, his family has faced criticism that its portfolio of real estate and consumer goods businesses, which lean heavily on the Trump name, conflicts with its Washington roles.

The group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington made the findings about the new China trademarks in a Monday statement, and said it was the largest number of new Chinese trademarks her company has received in a single month since her father took office.

Wisconsin is not going to go over well with the locals. There are many steel workers and serious blue collar folks, those imports will find it hard to to cope, I think. FoxConn will be lucky if that plant doesn't catch fire in the first year.

So I wonder, looking at the name, if rupert has his filthy mits in this.

states are starting to look more favorably on returning to paper ballots. I would like to see all states have paper ballots. I have yet to vote on a computerized machine, always voted on paper ballots wherever I have lived... even this election. But I live in low population states.

and then scan the return, and we have a paper trail that my ballot was assigned a number, but, the system is owned by a Russian oligarch, why the state outsourced that is amazing.

I really do believe that paper ballots, can be hand counted......................and people would be come more involved in the process if we did this............over 100 million people do not vote, that is astonishing, and we the public should be demanding that civic classes be a basic requirement for graduating for any course study for a degree or even for a GED.

I am going to go to my next city /county council meeting and demand that they put up bill boards that say when to vote, two weeks out or a month out when the early voting starts..................they can do that, they can budget that cost, or they can ask the owners of the billboards to donate the space, it is there civic responsibility to inform the public on this matter.

Then there would not be any of these mailers from the fascist saying to show up the next day and such................

Here in Montana, we have paper ballots, there are only about six or seven hundred thousand voters and a third of us vote by mail. We have fill-in-the-dot forms too.

We certainly need to revamp our voting systems and make them more secure with paper trails.

Tue Nov 6, 2018, 10:47 AM

Tester is pretty safe, he's from the state and a farmer who hasn't been wasting taxpayer $$ on lavish DC lifestyle. AND we have a lot of vets who have many fundamental needs in the state, like more medical and retirement facilities so they don't have to travel hundreds of miles for care for whom he has made quite a big deal. A new veterans' facility is being built this year for which he fought for years. He's on the veterans' committee in the Senate and they like him here, and they all have family here so he is pretty safe. You can tell because the orange clan has been crisscrossing the state for weeks because their carpet-bagger crook isn't gaining much ground. Rosendale embezzled from the state funds and everyone knows it.

Edit" And I hope that the body-slammer is ousted, he was cheating to get elected and was denied the governorship in 2014... most of us, with a brain, are sick of him and wish he would just go back to NJ. Kathleen Williams is well received and has been in the legislature for at least one term, body-slammer thinks his wealth makes him qualified to be in office. He's also a former business partner of the other Senator, Daines. You can see how that stuff works, we had that in the copper baron days, we can smell the stink on that stuff and will soon be correcting that, I hope.

though I think I lived elsewhere at the time. I lived in Idaho while Cecil Andrus was still governor, I think he was the last Democratic governor in that state. Frank Church was the real deal, my graduate advisor was an acquaintance of his and helped to create the Frank Church Wilderness River of No Return wilderness area in central Idaho. He remained friends with his widow until she passed a few years ago.

My specialty is public lands management and wildlife management interface so I have a lot of legal and policy/political knowledge for this segment of the Rocky Mountains and then some. Don't know if I could ever leave the region.

I can still remember walking on a high country road in Big Piney along a creek and hearing this crashing sound coming off the edge of the bank, and out pops a mule deer being chased by a puma, it was just like a moment in National Geographic it was amazing..............puma taking its big paw and knocking the deer down, the deer jumps up and the other paw comes down, the deer falls down jumps back up and off and up the creek they go and back up along the bank...................amazing................

want the U.N. position. She will be too busy, plagarizing other countries and their patents. Never has this country seen a family grift worldwide like this tRump clan. Even the Bush family was small potatoes compared with this vile clan. The presidency has been a gold mine for the entire family. I can understand why he is fighting so hard to keep the "job" He does no work, holds rallies with cheering dumbass supporters, flies free, golfs free. Shoots his anus mouth off daily, and it is reported as "truth" His nudie "vife" spends taxpayer money like the whore that she is and always will be. His sons travel free all over the world, protected by Secret Service agents. His son in law gains "loans" of millions for himself and his family. What a scam. How do people support this low class mafia family???
