BUSTED: Trump denies knowing Matt Whitaker — one month after saying ‘I know Matt Whitaker’ in Fox interview

BRAD REED

President Donald Trump on Friday denied knowing anything at all about Matt Whitaker, the man whom he’s controversially appointed to be his acting attorney general.

During his lengthy rant to reporters on Friday on the White House lawn, the president responded defensively to questions about why he appointed Whitaker to run the Department of Justice — and he even denied knowing the man he tapped to be the nation’s top law enforcement officer at all.

“I don’t know Matt Whitaker,” Trump claimed. “Matt Whitaker worked for Jeff Sessions. And he was always extremely highly thought of, and he still is. But I didn’t know Matt Whitaker.”

However, during an October 11th interview with “Fox & Friends,” the president literally said that he knew Matt Whitaker.

He's been going to the White House with Sessions talking to him often there. He lied. This was planned out he'd replace Sessions because of his views against Mueller, and when he's questioned under oath he'll either tell the truth , or end up in jail, and I'd bet this guy will end up in jail. He's a liar too.

Our Idiot President is putting forward is that he put in place a person whom he doesn't know to be the head of America's justice department. He's a liar or he's an idiot. My money's on both!

When he starts telling the truth then there's a story. Until then just assume everything he says is a lie, and you'll pretty much be on the mark.

He didn't know of the payment to Stormy Daniels. Hardly knew Manafort well at all, just some guy at his towers. Didn't know Bannon until the campaign. Never talked or met with Carter Page on his campaign. Didn't know about the Russian/towers meeting. Doesn't know Lil Jon who was on his reality show who he also had a special segment for. Told Omorosa he didn't know she was fired. Papadopoulos, who? That low-level guy he didn't know.

And my favorite didn't-know, didn't know Putin in 2016 though in 2015 he was like, yeah, we go way back, the last time meeting him being 2013

Clovis was also listed an unnamed "campaign supervisor" in the indictment of former Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos, according to The Washington Post.
...
It was Clovis, no stranger to TV and radio himself, who encouraged Whitaker to get a regular commentary gig on cable television to get President Donald Trump's attention, according to friends who Whitaker told at the time. Whitaker was hired as a CNN legal commentator last year for several months, before leaving the role in September 2017 to head to the Justice Department as chief of staff to now-former Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Through his CNN role, where he was deeply critical of the Mueller probe, Whitaker got to know Trump, who saw him on TV and later met in person.
...
"He worships him," a longtime friend said of Whitaker and Trump.

Sessions and whitaker many, many times have gone to the White House for meeting with trump, and trump knows him well, because he had others dig into his past and get dirt on him to make him do as he wants or else. He does this to all the people he appoints, to use to compromise them with, and further corrupt them to hold over them with it all. Putin does this too. Only the most corrupt prospers under putin , and if they aren't corrupt enough , he replaces them with someone even more corrupt.
