Judge rules against Trump administration in sanctuary cities case

Source: ABC

A federal judge in New York ruled Friday that the Trump administration cannot withhold public safety grants to six states and the City of New York based on the fact that they’re so-called sanctuary cities.

“Consistent with every other court that has considered these issues, the court concludes that defendants did not have lawful authority to impose these conditions,” the decision said.

The city, six states – New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Virginia – and the District of Columbia sued the administration over the threats to withhold money for criminal justice programs under what’s known as the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant, named for a New York City cop killed in the line of duty.

Looks like Trump is going to have to find someone else to blame for the shortcomings in his Executive Orders.

He got $400 million from his KKK member, Nazi money laundering daddy and he's been pissed off ever since. Fred corrupted his brain and taught him how to discriminate and not pay his bills. Donald passed his immorality to his 2 jerkoff sons and he's been lusting for his daughter, who also married a white-collar criminal. Then there's the selling out of democracy, to Russia no less.

It's been a soap opera ever since he came down that escalator--unless you count that birther crap.

Send the whole damn family (separate them from their children for good measure) to Mar-A-Gitmo for life.

Donnie Two Scoops doesn't understand that judges in one District look at what judges in others are doing when they are making decisions. While decisions in one District aren't binding on any other District, courts are aware of what other Districts are doing. The SCOTUS may be at the top of the pyramid, but it can hear only a limited number of appeals. The vast majority of decisions are made by the District Courts of Appeals.

He was way, way overextended on Russian credit, and running for President was what he agreed to do to satisfy his debt to his creditors. Maybe he could get those sanctions relaxed for them. Maybe he could get the Magnitsky act repealed. Maybe he could just sow enough chaos in our country that the US won't be a credible threat to the Russians on an international stage.

Trump was just as surprised as you and me about his election win. I really believe that he thought he would lose, and then he could parlay his loss into a 24-hour "Trump TV". He could use that channel to continue to operate under the radar with his money-grubbing schemes.
