Alaska Supreme Court upholds single-vote GOP victory for state House seat
Source: The Hill
The Alaska Supreme Court has reportedly upheld a Republicans victory by a single vote in the race for a seat in the state's House of Representatives.
Friday's decision confirmed Republican Bart Lebons narrow victory, the Anchorage Daily News reports.
The win gives Republicans a slim one-member majority in the House, according to the newspaper, which added that Republicans now have 20 members with Lebon, while Democrats have 19.
The decision reportedly comes after Democrat Kathryn Dodge appealed the results of a recount, which was triggered by the close margin.
