(7,142 posts)Barr is a bad dude. He was the lawyer who advised GeorgeH.W. Bush to pardon 6 Iran/Contra criminals.
It will be a bad day for Mueller and the Southern District of NY if Barr is confirmed. This hearing needs to be a brawl. Kamala, can you fill in for Al Franken? If you want to be president, show your stuff, no holds barred.
Our democracy depends on Barr being rejected. He believes that the president has kingly powers.
Damn, I miss you Al, please come back, our country needs you.

(57,318 posts)Barr has said several times that he will not interfere with the Russia investigation. What he has avoided saying in his carefully worded responses is that he will not shut down ancillary lines of investigation. He must recuse from the investigation.

(891 posts)is that he could claim he will recuse himself, then as soon as he is installed claim he had a change of heart and the investigation must be stopped.
There is no real way to make sure he sticks to his word.
