White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders joined several key Republicans in calling out Rep. Steve King (R-IA) for his comments about white supremacy, according to The Hill and NBC.

“Steve King’s comments were abhorrent,” she reportedly told the press outside the West Wing on Wednesday. “The Republican leadership, unlike Democrats, have actually taken action when their members have said outrageous and inappropriate things.”

After King was quoted in The New York Times pondering why the term “white supremacist” is considered “offensive,” Republican leadership condemned King for the comments. The House passed a disapproval resolution on Tuesday over the issue.

King has a history of making racist comments and affiliating himself with white supremacist and neo-Nazi affiliated groups.

The gratuitous jab at Democrats to appease the base is sickening...

Either his comments are abhorrent or they are not...that is an independent evaluation from what Democrats condemn or do not...and if you're feeling all high and mighty about the GOP's 'standards' please do a side-by-side of Al Franken and Donald Trump and THEN get back to me you lying subhuman witch.
