Trump rips McCain, says he gave Steele dossier to FBI for 'very evil purposes'

President Trump in an interview broadcast Friday criticized Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for giving the FBI a controversial dossier "for very evil purposes," keeping up a week-long series of criticisms of the dead senator that has roiled the Republican Party.

Trump's latest fight with McCain, which began over weekend and almost seven months after McCain's death, has centered on the president's seemingly festering resentment that McCain gave to the FBI a dossier of unverified claims about Trump and Russia that had been compiled by a British agent named Christopher Steele.

“If you realize, about three days ago it came out that his main person gave to the FBI the fake news dossier. It was a fake and a fraud, it was paid for by Hillary Clinton and the Democrats. They gave it to John McCain, who gave it to the FBI for very evil purposes. That’s not good,” the president told Maria Bartiromo of Fox Business in the interview aired Friday.

Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) tapped Washington firm Fusion GPS, which then turned to Steele, to conduct research about President Trump’s connections to Russia and possible coordination between his campaign and the Kremlin in 2016.

There is no question about why he is hitting so hard on McCain since he has clearly linked his attacks to McCain's role with dossier. Even though FBI had dossier and was investigating his campaign's Russian ties long before McCain was given the dossier after the election because Christopher Steele was so concerned that that FBI seemed to be slow-walking or had put investigation on back burner.

...then when Trump became the presumptive Republican nominee, they dropped the "opposition research contract" AKA, Steele Dossier, and Clinton Lawyers hired Fusion GPS to continue the research up through the election it seems.

McCain may have handed out a copy as a patriot would out of concern for the Country, and I think we all know or suspect that FBI had a copy long before then and especially since Both Houses of Congress were warned, that the Nation's election process was under a hacking attack. So Trump keeps referencing the Dossier as the hours close before a Mueller report of some sort released, is Trump prepping his base again to doubt the evidence, telegraphing what's about to be announced? The bases are loaded, this could be a grand slam, even without the pee tape!
