AG Barr's summary of Mueller report has been sent to Congress

Source: NBC News

The conclusions of special counsel Robert Mueller's report on President Donald Trump has been sent to Congress at approximately 3:45 p.m. ET, a Department of Justice official says.

Attorney General William Barr transmitted his summary findings to lawmakers and they are expected to be made public a short time after.

Providing Mueller's "principal conclusions," as Barr has referred to them, to lawmakers comes after the transmission of Mueller's report to Barr on Friday that concluded an investigation which has resulted in the indictments of 34 people, infuriated the president and threw the administration into turmoil.

"While this report does not conclude the president did not commit a crime, it does not exonerate him."

Translation: "We know he did it, but we can't prove it."

About the only way they could have gotten the information they needed was to immunize Paul Manafort, Roger Stone and Steve Bannon. The problem there is Manafort and Stone need to go to prison for things they did themselves, and immunization would have kept that from happening.

Fortunately, Mueller isn't the only one investigating the Trump organization...and the things they are looking at carry significant time in prison.

Though I knew long ago that some would react just as you have. If he'd concluded that Trump committed every crime known to man, and some of them twice, he'd be lauded as a hero and the savior of the Republic. If not, he'd be a traitor.

Just because the investigation didn't turn out the way we wanted doesn't mean Mueller protected Trump. It means the evidence wasn't there or couldn't be found. That's it. If the fix was in, Mueller would have said the report exonerated Trump, when in fact he said the exact opposite.

And search all the stories and post all the information linking all the trump campaign officials to russia but what good would it do?

The evidence wasn't there. LOL

It's another kavanaugh investigation but it took a lot longer to make it appear genuine.

But basically, slamming Mueller as a traitor comes off as petty and childish, in my opinion. He didn't deliver the pony, so he's a bad man. From what I can find, literally his entire career has been one of honorable service.

If our leadership didn't believe in his impartiality, I expect they'd have said so long before now, most likely at the start of the investigation.

The fact that it didn't go the way you wanted it to doesn't make Mueller a traitor.

of issuing indictments. Trump will have already served most of his term. I still think the fastest way to get rid of him is beating him in the 2020 election. I noticed that Beto said essentially the same thing I'm saying in a recent speech.

Yep. It certainly was infuriating to see a montage of all the big newspaper headlines that ALL said, in the BIG typeface, versions of "trump No Collusion..." They managed to get to the point about how trump was NOT EXONERATED, but there may be obstruction. That's all in the small print that few bother to read. It's the big bold blaring headline that counts.

It's SO important, if possible, to read down the whole story to get the whole truth. Sometimes there are big and seriously worthwhile nuggets to be found halfway down, or two-thirds of the way down, or even in the last paragraph or two.
