Person With Sword Shot by Police at Church of Scientology in Inglewood; 2 Officers Struck by Gunfire

Source: KTLA News

A sword-wielding suspect was shot and critically injured by police and two officers were injured during a shooting at a Church of Scientology in Inglewood Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The incident was reported at the church about 3:30 p.m. at 315 Market St., Inglewood Police Lt. Neal Cochran told KTLA.

The person entered the location with a sword and possibly a gun, Cochran said. As police responded, two officers were shot, one in the hand and one in the arm, and the person with the sword was shot in the head, police said.

The person, described only as an Asian male, was taken to a hospital in critical condition, Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Scott Elliott told KTLA.

This looks very much like a "Hello, 911? Some weirdo brandishing a gun and a sword has barged onto our office!"

What else do you need?

There's a sovereign citizen in the LA Basin by the name of Christopher Alyre Fleming. He's been locked up about 100 times for various acts of self-debasement. (Go to YouTube and search for his name.)

Unfortunately for this story, Christopher is a 6-foot-tall white male with a shaved head, about a gallon of tattoo ink spread out over his body, and about a 29-inch waistline.

"Possibly a gun"? "two officers shot"? So, let me guess based on the information I have at hand. A cos-playing asian american was walking around pretending to be Kirito and cops were called. They immediately assumed he was a danger to the community because he was not white and after surrounding him, began shooting. In the melee, they shot the menace to society in the head and also shot several other officers who were in the circular arrangement. There will be NO video of the shooting.

in 2008

Police said a man who waved a pair of Samurai swords on the grounds of a Hollywood Scientology building had a "previous relationship" to the church, but released little other information about the man shot and killed by a security guard.
The unidentified man, described as being in his 40s, approached three guards Sunday in the parking lot of the Scientology Celebrity Centre, Los Angeles Police Deputy Chief Terry S. Hara said.

.... It's a cult. A dangerous cult that unfortunately, is deemed legitimate by our government. Like Elvis Presley is supposed to have once said, "Fuck those people," said Elvis Presley following a meeting with Scientologists. "All they want is my money." Which makes Elvis Presley a hell of a lot smarter than Tom Cruise or John Travolta

.....is in a league all its own. You can't possibly compare it to the family who goes to church on Sunday, and the kids go to Sunday school. They pay their little five or $10 tithe or donation, get out of church, and go eat dinner. The rest of the week mom and dad or both go to work, the kids go to school engaging in normal activities that most people engage in during the week. Scientology is none of that. They destroy countless lives, tear families apart, take all of their money and worldly goods, use those people for slave labor, and all for the benefit of a few. That doesn't even compare with a couple of hours lost on Sunday, and a few bucks in the plate.

If the cops were battling a guy with a sword, and both cops got shot, that must be one HELL of a sword. If you aren't close enough to your enemy, press a button and it fires bullets too? They sure didn't have THOSE in "SHOGUN."

Or is it that the cops were so busy shooting that they didn't realize that shooting in every which direction might include themselves?

One would normally assume anyone who can afford to drive a Bentley would know it's not wise to brandish a Samurai sword out of the scabbard in public.

Especially not wise to keep doing that after cops show up..... .....

I ask because of the primary focus on the sword and the use of the word "possibly" had a gun. If he shot the cops, then it's not that he possibly had a gun. How can they be unsure?
